About

Global Sim a seamless callback service. You dial an international number from your phone as usual. Global Sim picks up your call, connects it to the number you dialed and calls you back, connecting the two ends of the line. This ensures that the call travels exclusively through our partner networks, generating the the up to 85% savings AND ensures superior sound quality to boot, no matter where you are.

This is why all Global Sim numbers have +372 country code. If you’re wondering why you’ve never heard of Estonia, then don’t worry. It’s a small country of only 1.3 m people but also a member of the European Union and one of the most wired and high-tech societies in the world.

This is a country where mobile phone payments for parking have been commonplace for ten years. Skype? Invented by Estonian developers. Over 95% of the population uses internet banking, medicine prescriptions are filled electronically and voting is done over the web using a unique digital ID card system, which allows even legal documents to be signed using mobile phone based ID.

You can call to any country at a flat rate that depends only on the country of your stay!* E.g. if you stay in China, you pay nothing for incoming calls and €0.50 per minute for all outgoing calls. It does not matter where you call: to China, or your home country, or anywhere else in the world.

There’s special rate for outgoing calls to Global Sim numbers and to Voicemail in the countries with free incoming calls! E.g. if you stay in Norway (where incoming calls are free), you call to friend’s Global Sim or your voicemail for just €0.19! Even if your friend is in the country with charged incoming calls.

A text message costs €0.11 within EU and otherwise €0.35 in most countries.

Because prices are continuously falling, this means you’ll be able to talk longer in the future for the same money.

If your mobile phone has been purchased from your GSM operator as part of a package deal, it is likely that the Global Sim card will not work in it. For using Global Sim while abroad you’ll need to get an unlocked phone.

How can you tell if your phone is locked?
Insert any other operator SIM other than your own. If the telephone doesn’t allow network access, then it is locked. If it does allow calls to be made it is unlocked.

Global Sim will save you up to 85% on all outgoing calls while abroad. Incoming calls are free in over 120 countries already.

Global Sim is a prepaid GSM SIM card. Unlike your local mobile phone operator card, Global Sim is made for use around the world in over 190 countries. Prepaid means you have complete control over costs with no nasty bills waiting in the mailbox when you get home.

Global Sim does not ‘age’. This means that there are no maintenance fees and in case you use the Global Sim card at least once every two years, all your money will still be there.

With Global Sim you can access data for maps, web browsing and your e-mail account for much lower cost than with your local operator. Data is billed in 10KB increments.

Please note, however, that data is still more expensive than voice calls. Although we are doing what we can to negotiate lower rates, it will still be years before data is as cheap as voice calling.

Global Sim data settings

When you use Global Sim for the first time, you will automatically receive data settings.

Please note that not all mobile devices accept automatic settings. To change them manually refer to your handset manual and change the following settings:
  • Access Point Name (APN): send.ee
  • User name: enter your Global Sim number, e.g. 3721231234
  • Password: leave the field blank

For Japan and South Korea your mobile phone should be 3G compatible.

For the rest of the world – if your phone works at home it will work abroad (it should be unlocked and compatible with GSM 800/850/900/1800/1900).
